A survey of UK energy users has revealed interesting news that almost half of people surveyed (43%) would rather reduce their carbon footprint than their energy bills.
Not good news for Amber Rudd who has been focussing her energies onto pressurising suppliers to reduce prices while cutting wind farm subsidies.
Head of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), Simon Harrison explained:
“In recent years, spiralling energy prices have dominated the energy debate so it is refreshing to see that people are starting to acknowledge that it is worthwhile paying more now if we can protect the environment for future generations.
Of course, keeping energy prices down will always be a major concern, particularly when it comes to protecting those struggling to pay their energy bills. But these findings do recognise the fact that energy prices are not the only challenge we face – and must be seen in conjunction with maintaining security of energy supply and reducing carbon emissions.”
We’re not surprised to see this unexpected support for environmental issues. At Business Juice, we recognise that our customers aren’t just looking for the cheapest price. They also want the best service and least time-consuming process.
