Business Juice Difference

There are an ever increasing number of brokers in the business energy market so how on earth can you tell the difference between them and what is good and not so good?

Especially in the era of internet marketing it is all too easy to look the part without being able to play that role to expectation.

That’s where the Business Juice difference comes in:

How we work:

  • We work with 20 different energy suppliers, not just one or two or “the Big 6 and a few others”
  • All our supplier relationships are direct, when we pick up the phone we talk straight to the suppliers to get things sorted
  • We don’t work to any supplier driven quotas or operate any supplier bias, what’s right for your business is what your business gets
  • We don’t just offer a price, we provide full contract life management to take away the energy supply headache
  • We operate on a totally transparent basis with full commission disclosure via our unique key facts document
  • We set our prices below the marginal cost of sales of the suppliers meaning you always get a better deal with Business Juice

Energy Brokerage Market

How the wider business energy brokerage market often works:

  • Work with just one or two energy suppliers or “the Big 6 and a few others”
  • Have direct supplier relationships but only with those with which they deal
  • Operate to supplier dictated quotas and naturally therefore operate supplier bias in order to retain those commercial relationships
  • Only offer a price, after that you are on your own to deal with any problems that may arise through the contract life
  • Do not disclose commission, earnings or any hidden or additional charges on the price quoted
  • Optimise both theirs and the supplier’s earnings placing upwards pressure on the price you pay

New Market Entrants

How the many new entrants into the business energy brokerage market often work:

  • The ‘broker’ works with an overall ‘aggregator’ of energy supplier relationships
  • The ‘aggregator’ themselves work with just one or two energy suppliers or “the Big 6 and a few others”
  • The ‘aggregator’ holds direct supplier relationships but only with those with which they deal
  • However the ‘broker’ themselves has no direct supplier relationships (and indeed are unknown by the suppliers)
  • Only offer a price, after that you are on your own. With the ‘broker’ having no direct supplier relationship and there being no duty of care from the ‘aggregator’ any problems remain your responsibility even when not of your own making
  • Do not disclose commission, earnings or any hidden or additional charges on the price quoted
  • Naturally all parties need to optimise their earnings meaning a) the supplier b) the aggregator and c) the broker need to take their cut adding to the price that can be offered
